Dude. My son has been playing T-ball for like three weeks and finally connected with the ball solid and sent it over the infield. Watching him run the bases with that huge smile on his face while everyone was cheering. He's not the most athletic kid and gets frustrated easily but man he kept his head in the game today. So proud of him.
Dude yes! Three weeks in and he's already got the magic moment. Those early sports memories are the best. My kids still talk about their first hits from years ago.
YES! That moment is everything. My daughter had the exact same thing happen a few weeks ago and I lost it. The pure joy on their face when they actually connect with something they've been working toward is why we do this. Three weeks is solid too, that's real progress.
This is the stuff that matters. We get so caught up in the stress of parenting that we forget about these wins. Your kid will remember this feeling forever and probably remember you being there cheering. That's a good day.
Dude that's awesome. My son is a couple years older and those early T-ball moments were some of my favorite dad memories. When they hit that ball and look over at you in the stands with that surprised smile? Nothing beats it.
