I've been teaching him for like 6 months and today he just did it without asking for help. Didn't even tell me he was trying, just looked down and his shoes were tied. The little man is growing up fast.

Man, this is the stuff I'm looking forward to. Still in the newborn chaos phase but seeing my son figure things out on his own is going to be wild.
