Been working with him on this for months. He kept getting frustrated and wanted to give up. Today he just did it without asking for help. Watched him concentrate so hard, tongue sticking out and everything. When he realized he actually did it he started jumping around yelling. Made me tear up a little not gonna lie.
Man, that's awesome! Those little victories hit different when you've been in the trenches with them for months. Your patience is what made that happen today.
Getting to witness that moment without having to jump in and help, that's the good stuff right there. You're doing it right.
Yes! I remember when my oldest finally got his shoes tied. It's one of those small moments that feels massive. The persistence you taught him by not letting him quit is worth more than the actual skill.
