Had one of those mornings where everything was chaos, we were running late for school, forgot his backpack halfway through the drive. I was frustrated and probably not in the best mood about it. On the way home he just out of nowhere says 'Dad you're my best friend.' Completely melted me. Made me realize how quick I am to stress over the small stuff when really this job is just about showing up for them.

This right here. This is why I show up even when I'm exhausted from work. You never know when those moments are coming but they make everything worth it.

Those moments hit different man. I had something similar happen at mini golf last month and I just sat there like wow this is what it's all about.

That's beautiful. Our kids are so resilient. They don't remember the mornings we were stressed about being late, they just remember that we were there.
