My 6 year old rode his bike without training wheels for the first time today

I've been holding the back of the seat for months and kept telling him he was ready. He was so nervous but finally let me let go in the driveway. Made it about 20 feet before he wobbled and caught himself. Didn't crash, didn't cry, just got back on and kept going. So proud of this kid right now I could burst.

That's awesome man! Those moments stick with you forever. I remember my oldest finally getting it and just taking off down the driveway, and I was like wait come back! Now all three of mine are doing it.

This is the kind of stuff that makes parenting worth it. Getting them outside and confident on their own two wheels is huge. Bet he's gonna want to ride every single day now.
