Been working with him for like 6 months on this. Today he did it completely by himself without asking for help. Watched him concentrate so hard with his tongue sticking out and everything. Little guy was so proud he wanted to show literally everyone at the park. These moments hit different man.
Small victories are the best victories. I remember when my youngest finally got this I was weirdly emotional about it. Like one day he just didn't need me for that anymore.
These little wins keep me going. My oldest finally got it a few months back and I swear I was more excited than he was.
That's huge! Six months of patience paid off. My 5 year old is getting there but still gets frustrated and wants me to do it. The day he figures it out is going to feel like I won the lottery.

These are the wins that hit different. Nobody gives you a medal for it but man does it feel good. Next up is probably tying his shoes while wearing shoes instead of sitting perfectly still on the couch.
