My 6yo finally tied his shoes without help

Took about 3 months of practicing but my son nailed it this morning. No bunny ears, proper loop method and everything. Wife was at work so I had to text her a video and she got all emotional about it lol. These little wins hit different when you've been working on something specific for a while.

Three months of practice is actually pretty normal. My 6yo just got it last month and I felt like we'd made it to the Olympics haha.

Wait until he realizes he can tie them really fast and starts doing it at top speed to show off. My son spent a week just tying and retying his shoes because he was so proud.

That's awesome! The loop method is the hardest part too, most kids want to do the bunny ears thing forever. You must have been patient as hell with him.
