This might sound small but I've been working with him on this for like 6 months. Today he just... did it. Double knot and everything. I almost cried at the kitchen table lol. Wife was like "that's nice" but she doesn't understand the JOURNEY we've been on.

Bro this IS a big deal. Shoe tying is genuinely hard for kids and the fine motor skill + remembering the steps + executing it consistently? That's legit. Your wife doesn't get that this means independence. Celebrate it.
