My 6yo just read his first book by himself

Dude I'm not even gonna lie I teared up a little. He picked up one of those easy reader books and just powered through it without asking for help. My wife was like 'he's been practicing at school' but I'm still taking full credit lol. We celebrated with ice cream and he felt like a million bucks. These moments hit different.
