My 6yo just read his first full book without help

Took him like 20 minutes and he mispronounced half the words but he DID IT. He was so proud of himself he wanted to read it again immediately. This is what it's all about right here.

This is making me excited for when my daughter gets to this point. That pride on their face when they realize they can do something on their own is just incredible.

20 minutes for a whole book at 6 is solid work! The fact he wanted to read it again right away means you're nailing this reading thing with him.

That's awesome man! My kids did the same thing at that age and it was such a cool moment to see them light up like that. The mispronounced words don't matter one bit, he crushed it.
