My 7yo finally got his multiplication facts down

Been drilling these with him since September and honestly thought we were fighting a losing battle. Kid would get frustrated, I'd get frustrated, whole thing was a mess. But last week he just... got it? Like the light bulb went on. Now he's flying through his math worksheets and actually ASKING to do more problems. His teacher sent home a note saying she noticed a huge improvement too. Feeling pretty proud right now not gonna lie.

My 8yo still struggles with 7s and 8s. It's so frustrating because he knows most of them but just blanks sometimes. What helped your son finally lock them in?

Seven months of drilling and finally getting there. That's dedication from both of you honestly. Did you use flashcards or some app or just quizzing him?

That's huge! Multiplication tables are such a pain to drill but once they click it's like a weight lifted. How long would you say the actual lightbulb moment took?

Congrats man. Seriously though the patience required for that is insane. I probably would've given up after 2 weeks.
