My daughter complimented my cooking today

Made spaghetti (literally just jarred sauce, lol) and my 8yo said it was 'really good.' THEN she asked for seconds. I know this is such a small thing but honestly after years of 'this isn't how mom makes it' it felt amazing. Might be my new go-to family dinner.

Jarred sauce is perfectly fine and honestly most kids can't tell the difference anyway. The fact that she noticed and complimented it is what matters. You nailed it.

The bar is literally so low for us as dads that boiling pasta and heating up jar sauce makes us look like Gordon Ramsay to our kids. I love it.
