Fair and square. No throwing the race. She picked Rainbow Road, I thought I had it, and she blue shelled me right at the finish. Then she did the little victory lap dance and said "thanks for letting me win daddy" even though she totally didn't. Made my whole week.
That blue shell at the finish line is brutal! But honestly that's the moment you know she's got the skills. My kids are still at the age where I let them win sometimes, but when they actually beat me fair and square, man, that hits different.
The little victory dance at the end though, that's priceless. I'd be too exhausted from trying to manage Mario Kart and keep up with the kids' schedules to even notice, but those moments are gold.

How old? Either way this is awesome. My son is still a few years away from actually winning but I'm dreading and looking forward to that day at the same time.
