Got a note from school today that made my whole week. Apparently during circle time the teacher asked what makes someone a hero and my 8yo said her dad because I help her practice soccer and I never yell even when she messes up. Never thought I was doing anything special but apparently it's getting through to her. Feeling pretty good right now honestly.
This is what it's all about. As a brand new dad I'm already realizing these are the moments I want to remember, even at 3am when I'm questioning everything. Beautiful stuff.

That's awesome! Those moments are what make all the tough days worth it. I got a similar note last month and I printed it out and put it on the fridge. My kid sees it every day and I think it means something to them too.
