My kid defended his little sister at school
Got a call from the teacher saying my 7 year old stood up to some kids who were being mean to his little sister's kindergarten class on the playground. Didn't get physical or anything, just told them to stop being jerks and then walked away. The teacher said it was really respectful how he handled it. When I asked him about it he was all casual like it was nothing. But I was beaming the whole day. That's the kid I'm trying to raise. One who looks out for people even when it's not easy.
Dude that's huge. My kids are 4 and 6 now and we're finally seeing that kind of loyalty between them. Moments like that remind you why all the exhausting stuff is worth it.
This. This right here is what it's all about. You raised a kid with a backbone who actually cares about his sister. That's a win in every way that matters.
