My kid finally beat me at chess

My 9 year old has been asking to play chess for months and I've been teaching him the rules. We played our first real game yesterday and he won. Like actually outplayed me, not me letting him win. I'm so proud I could scream. Told him he's got to keep it up because I'm coming back for a rematch next week.

This is so cool. Chess is such a great game for kids. It teaches them to think ahead and problem solve. The fact that he actually beat you means he's really learning.
