He's been struggling with reading and we've been at it for months. Teachers said he'd catch up, I wasn't so sure. Today he sat down with this book and read an entire chapter out loud without asking for help. The smile on his face when he finished was everything. Proud doesn't even cover it.

YES!! Months of patience finally paying off. My commute is two hours a day so I get limited reading time with mine, but we push through it. That moment when they turn the corner is everything.
The best part about this is that HE knows he did it. That confidence boost from pushing through something hard is worth more than any test score. Did he want to keep reading after he finished?
