Been teaching them about saving and spending wisely since they were young. Oldest is 12 now and he turned down a $20 toy at Target because he wants to save for the gaming laptop he really wants. That kid actually understands delayed gratification. Meanwhile most kids his age are on their parents' credit cards. Feeling pretty proud right now.

That's awesome man. Getting them to think about the long game at 12 is huge. My kid's still at the 'I want it now' stage but seeing your oldest make that choice gives me hope.
