He's 10 and usually thinks I'm annoying but today he made me a little card that said 'you're a good dad' with some drawings on it. Just sitting on my desk at work right now. I've read it like 8 times. Might frame it honestly.
Man, that hits different when they're at that age where they think you're basically the enemy. These moments are gold. Frame that card if you haven't already.
Saving this for when my little one's older and I need to remember why I'm doing all this. That's the stuff that really matters, glad you got to experience that.

This is what it's all about right here. My oldest is 11 and still mostly gives me eye rolls but every once in a while I get a moment like this and it reminds me I'm doing something right.
