Came home from work and he had made a card with crayon drawings of us doing all these things together. Pizza, baseball, riding bikes. Inside it just said "Youre the best dad ever." Spelling error and all, I literally have it framed on my desk. Don't even care if nobody understands what the drawings are. Best birthday ever.
Nothing beats a card made with a kid's own hands. That's the real win right there, congrats on having such a thoughtful little guy.
Those moments man, that's why we do all this. The homemade cards are always the keepers. Sounds like you two have some solid memories built up already.

This is beautiful. Seriously. Those little crayon masterpieces are going to mean so much to you years from now when he's older. My kids are teens now and I'd give anything to have saved every single card they ever made me when they were little.

Those moments are the best. The fact that he put that much thought into it and made it himself hits different than any store bought gift ever could. How old is he now? My son's getting to an age where he's starting to do stuff like this and I'm not ashamed to say I got a little emotional.
