Been coaching youth soccer for 8 years but this year felt different. Had an amazing group of 10 and 11 year olds who actually listened and worked hard. They've been practicing since March and yesterday they took home the trophy. Watching my own kid score the winning goal was something I'll never forget. Really proud of all of them but especially my boy.
This is the kind of win that matters. Not just for your coaching record but for those kids. They learned something about commitment and teamwork from someone who actually cares. Congrats on the championship.
