My son said I'm the best dad ever and I'm still riding that high

We just built a fort in the living room and he spontaneously said it. Nothing I've accomplished at work or anywhere else has hit harder than that. Might be my favorite moment as a dad so far.

This is what it's all about man. Three under five over here and those random 'best dad ever' moments keep me sane. Cherish it because they grow up fast.

That's the stuff right there. I still remember when my boy said something like that while we were just working on something in the garage. Hits different than any paycheck ever could.

Fort building is peak dad content. Those spontaneous moments when they say something like that just make the whole gig worthwhile. Enjoy riding that high, you earned it.
