I'm still riding this high. My 7 year old has been taking soccer seriously the last few months and today in his game he actually scored. The look on his face when he realized what happened was everything. He ran straight to the sideline looking for me and I lost it a little bit. All those Saturday mornings at practice finally clicked for him. Best feeling as a dad.
That's awesome man! Those first goals stick with you forever. I still remember my oldest's first one, he was so pumped he couldn't stop talking about it for a week. You're gonna want to get some video of the next one if you haven't already.
That's the stuff right there. Nothing beats seeing your kid achieve something they've been working toward. He's gonna remember that day forever, and so will you.
