My son scored his first goal in soccer

He's been playing for like two months and actually improving. Today during the game he got a loose ball, kept his composure, and scored. The whole sideline was screaming but what got me was how HE reacted - just pure joy. He ran back to his teammates like it was the World Cup final. I teared up a little not gonna lie. He's already asking when the next game is.

That's the good stuff right there. First goal is a huge moment. You're probably gonna want that game video saved somewhere because he's gonna want to watch it like a hundred times.

Two months in and already scoring? That's awesome. Nothing beats the moment you see them realize they can actually do the thing. Did he go nuts when it went in? My kid still gets that shock on his face like he can't believe it happened.

The progression from just trying to understand the rules to actually getting a goal is so cool to watch. How long has he been interested in soccer? Mine took like a full season before it clicked that you're supposed to kick it toward the goal.
