My son threw up at school today and I didn't panic
Got the call around 10am that he threw up in his classroom. Old me would have absolutely freaked out, but I was just like okay what do we need to do. Picked him up, he wasn't actually that sick just something he ate. Got him home, got him cleaned up, gave him some water and crackers, and now he's napping. When I went back to get his stuff from school I could tell the teachers were surprised I was so chill about it. I'm starting to feel like I actually know what I'm doing with this dad thing. Only took 3 kids and 8 years.
Congrats man. That's growth right there. I remember when my kids were younger I'd get a call from school and my heart would start racing. Now I'm like 'did they need me to pick them up or can they handle it?' Being calm when they need you is what matters.
