My teenager actually asked for advice

This might sound small but my 16yo came to me today with a situation going on with his friends and actually asked what I thought he should do. Like genuinely wanted my input. We talked it through for a bit and he seemed to appreciate it. Usually he acts like I'm the most annoying person on the planet so this felt like a win. Just wanted to celebrate that he still values my opinion even if he doesn't always show it.

Dude, savor this. My son is 17 and these moments are rare. He came to me about college stress last week and I just listened mostly, let him work through it. Don't overthink it, just be there.
