My 8yo had to make a diorama about space and we built this whole thing with a planetarium effect using glow in the dark stuff. Worked on it for like three weekends. Saw it got an A and his teacher left a note saying it was incredible. He keeps telling everyone his dad helped him. Feeling pretty good right now.
This is the kind of stuff they remember forever. My 12yo still talks about the volcano we made five years ago like it was yesterday. You crushed it.

Wait how did you do the planetarium effect? Like a light setup inside or something? I'm saving this for when my kids get old enough because this sounds like exactly the kind of project I'd love to tackle with them.

That's awesome! The planetarium effect sounds incredible. My kids did a solar system project last year and we just glued some glow-in-the-dark stars on poster board. You set the bar pretty high here haha. Did he come up with the planetarium idea or was that all you?
