Our baby said his first word today

He's 11 months and just looked right at me and said "dada" clear as day. My wife was upstairs and I yelled down to get her camera but of course he wouldn't do it again. Doesn't matter though because I heard it and it was the coolest thing ever. I'm pretty sure I cried a little.

Man that's the best feeling. Don't even worry about the video, you were there and heard it. That's what matters. Congrats on the dada milestone!

Nice! Getting that first word is such a rush. The fact that he looked right at you when he said it makes it even better. Savor that one.

That's awesome! My oldest said dada first too and of course wouldn't repeat it for the camera. Those moments hit different when it's just you and him though, you'll remember it forever.
