Proud moment: My son stood up for his friend at school today
His teacher emailed me that my 7yo saw another kid getting made fun of during lunch and went and sat with him. Told the bullies to stop. Nothing crazy happened but the teacher wanted me to know because it showed character. I literally teared up reading that email at my desk at work. Like yeah he's my kid and I'm biased but I'm genuinely proud that he's that kind of person. Made sure to tell him how awesome that was when he got home.
My oldest did something similar in 2nd grade and I swear I teared up reading that email. Teachers send those emails because they see how rare it is. Be proud, sounds like you're doing something right
Did you get to talk to your son about it after? I'm always curious if the kid even realizes what they did was important or if it just felt natural to them
