Question: how do you guys handle the candy bribery thing?

My 4yo daughter refuses to get her haircut without absolute screaming. We've tried the "be brave" talk, we've tried picking out a fun shirt to wear, nothing works. I know other parents who use a small toy reward after and it works instantly but I feel weird about it? Like am I setting up bad habits? How do you all handle this?
