Roasted my 8yo at her own game and she couldn't stop laughing

She was doing the whole dramatic sighing thing about dinner being 'boring' so I told her 'Well good news, tomorrow you can have cereal for dinner and I'll tell you it's Fruity Pebbles surprise casserole.' She absolutely lost it. These are the moments I live for.

Haha love this. My 8yo does the same thing and I started just making two options - this or nothing. Cut the complaints in half. But the roast is definitely the more fun approach.

This is the kind of parenting move I live for honestly. The dramatic sighing about boring dinner is peak 8yo energy and roasting her back is chef's kiss. Did she actually eat it or did she stay committed to the bit?
