He wanted me specifically. Said I'm good at figuring stuff out. We built a little catapult thing together and it actually works. Gonna submit it Monday and I don't think I've ever been more proud of anything we made together. That's my boy right there.

Building something together that actually works is peak parenting right there. The catapult is cool but honestly he's gonna remember that you were the one he wanted help from way more than the project itself.

That's awesome man, those moments stick with you. My son did the same thing with me on a woodworking project last year and I felt like the coolest dad in the world for like a week straight.

Dude congrats, that's the kind of win you don't forget. My kids usually want mom for everything so when they pick you for a project it hits different.
