It was in the 3rd inning, bases were empty but he still took off like it was game 7 of the World Series. He was so happy he couldn't stop grinning the whole drive home. Got him his favorite dinner and we watched baseball highlights together. Sometimes these small moments feel bigger than anything else that happened this week at work. Worth all the early morning practices.
