Sports update: kid made the travel soccer team!!!

Just found out yesterday that my 9yo made the competitive travel team and I'm still riding high. She's been playing recreational for like 3 years and this season we thought "why not try out." She was so nervous but absolutely crushed it at tryouts. Now we're looking at tournaments across the state but honestly? Worth it. She walked around the house for like 12 hours with the biggest smile. This is what it's all about right here.

rec to competitive is a big jump. Your daughter's gonna level up fast playing with better teammates. Fair warning though - some of these parents get intense about youth sports. Just keep perspective and have fun with it

That's awesome!! Travel soccer is a whole different level. Just remember it gets expensive fast with uniforms, tournaments, travel. But the skill progression is real and she'll make friends that'll stick with her

Heads up - travel soccer weekends are basically your whole schedule now. We're talking tournaments every other weekend during season. Worth it if your kid loves it but definitely changes family life
