Successfully implemented a chore chart without it becoming a nightmare

I know everyone says chore charts don't work but honestly ours has been solid for about 3 months now. Nothing fancy - just a piece of paper on the fridge with basic stuff like 'unload dishwasher' and 'pick up room' with checkboxes. Kids (8 and 11) actually do it without constant reminding. Rewards are dumb stuff like 'pick dinner one night' or extra screen time. Might not work forever but I'll take the win while it lasts.
