Survived my first solo camping trip with the kids

Took my two boys camping for the first time without my wife and we actually pulled it off. Yeah there was a minor tent flood situation and we forgot the cooking grill but we caught fish, built a fire, and I didn't lose anyone in the woods. My 8yo said it was the best day ever and my 5yo fell asleep telling me how many stars there were. Came home exhausted but so proud we did that together. Already planning the next trip.

That's awesome! First solo camping trip is a huge milestone. Did you handle the food situation okay? That's always where I stress out the most when I'm flying solo with my boys.

Nice work getting it done. I remember thinking I'd be way more stressed than I actually was when I took mine out. Kids are way more resilient than we give them credit for.
