The $400 mistake that actually worked out

So last month I accidentally ordered 4 identical toy sets instead of 1 (didn't notice the quantity box didn't reset on Amazon). Was SO mad at myself. But then I thought... why not just give them to his friends for his birthday party? Didn't cost me anything extra at that point.

Turns out it was the best call. All 4 kids are best friends at school now and they have this whole thing where they trade the action figures and coordinate stories. My son talks about how much fun it is to have matching toys with his crew. Complete accident but honestly one of my better parenting moments this year.

Wait so you just kept all 4 sets? That's actually genius. My kids would've been in absolute heaven. Did you end up selling the extras or just accepted your fate as the coolest dad in the neighborhood?

I did something similar with Lego sets once. Ordered in bulk thinking I was getting a deal and accidentally tripled the order. Best mistake ever honestly.

How are you feeling about the karma on this one though? Like obviously your kids are thrilled but does your wife know the full story or are we keeping this in the dad vault forever?
