My 11yo came home upset because some kids were being mean about her art project. Instead of getting discouraged she printed out her work, showed it to the teacher, and asked if it could be displayed in the hallway. Teacher said yes. Now seeing her walk past that display with her head up is killing me. She taught herself that her worth isn't determined by what other kids think. Made me realize I'm raising a strong woman here.

That's raising her right. Teaching kids that their feelings matter and that speaking up is brave is huge. So many kids just internalize that stuff. What did she do?

This is a dad win for real. At 11 she's at that age where peer pressure gets intense and for her to handle it without falling apart shows she's got confidence. You should be proud.

Love seeing kids stand up for themselves like that. My daughter needed similar help last year. The fact that you didn't just solve it for her but let her work through it is the key.
