I told my 15yo son not to buy that gaming PC right now because new gen is coming in 3 months. He thought I was being cheap and controlling. Well guess what, the new gen dropped today and prices on the old stuff tanked. He just came to me and said I made the right call. Victory tastes sweet fellas

That's the win right there. My son is 13 and still thinks he knows everything so when he comes around to my thinking it's a whole thing. The PC situation is perfect too because he'll learn about tech cycles and patience at the same time.
Wait till he upgrades in 3 months and comes back to tell you that you were right about the new gen being way better. Those conversations make all the parenting stuff worth it.
