Took my boys camping and neither complained once

Took the kids 7 and 9 years old on our first real camping trip without mom. We hiked 4 miles Saturday morning, caught some actual fish, made a fire and roasted marshmallows, slept in a tent and both kids slept through the night. I was fully prepared for crying and wanting to leave early. Instead they asked when we're going again. My 7 year old told me it was the best day of his life. We're definitely doing this again soon. Might be one of those moments I actually remember forever.
