Took my kids on our first solo camping trip
Just got back from two nights at a local campsite with the boys (7 and 9). No mom, just us. We cooked over the fire, told ghost stories, went hiking, and nobody complained about being bored. The 7yo said it was the best weekend ever. I might be crying a little writing this. Pretty sure I nailed it.
That's incredible. Solo parenting a camping trip is legit impressive. I'm still in the newborn phase so I'm nowhere near ready for this, but this is the kind of thing I want to be able to do someday.
Two nights with both of them solo is solid work. How much of the trip did they actually help with cooking or did you end up doing most of it?
