Took the kids camping and we didn't kill each other

First time camping with both kids (7 and 4) without my wife. Honestly expected it to be a total disaster. We set up the tent together, caught some fish (even though we didn't eat them), made s'mores, and the kids actually fell asleep at a reasonable time. My 7yo said it was the best day ever. I'm still buzzing from it.

Haha that's the dad victory right there. First camping trip solo is basically a rite of passage. Glad you guys made it out in one piece.

Nice work man. Getting a 7 and 4 year old to actually have fun camping is no small feat. Did they sleep okay or were they too excited?

The fact that nobody melted down is honestly a win. I took my two out last month and my 4yo cried about everything. This gives me hope for the next trip.
