Unpopular opinion: Public school in our district is actually solid
I see a lot of people on here talking about switching to private school or homeschooling and I get it, but I just gotta say our district is legitimately good. We're in Madison and honestly the teachers care, the kids are thriving academically, there's actual arts programs, sports, everything. I know it's not like this everywhere but I'm grateful we landed here. Not trying to brag or anything, just wanted to share something positive for once lol
Our district has been amazing too and we've gotten so much pushback from people suggesting private school. Like yeah, it costs money, but public school with decent teachers and funding is hitting different.
What grades are you in? Just curious because I've heard elementary can be solid but middle and high school in public systems gets dicey sometimes.
Does your district have a good property tax base? That's usually the biggest factor I've noticed. Our school is solid but we're in a higher income area so it tracks.
