Wife surprised me with a Saturday alone while she took the kids
I didn't even ask for it. Just woke up Saturday morning and she was like "we're taking them to her mom's for the day, you're staying home." I honestly didn't know what to do with myself at first. Ended up sleeping in until 9 (which felt insane), made a big breakfast without anyone yelling at me, played some video games, took a nap, and just... existed in silence. It was 8 hours of pure peace. Feeling so grateful for a partner who gets that dads need to recharge too.
Okay but how did you handle the entire day without needing to be "on"? I genuinely panic if I have more than 2 hours alone. Feel like I'm supposed to be doing something productive.
