Anyone use Amazon FreeTime? Honest thoughts?

Thinking about signing up but want to know if it's worth the money or just another way to get nickel-and-dimed. Is it actually restricting or can kids still find ways around it? What's the quality of the content compared to just letting them use Netflix with limits? TIA
