Set it up last week and wow what a difference. My 7 year old can't even open YouTube after 7pm now. He complained for a day then got over it. Using it for all three kids now. Way better than me constantly saying no.
This is the balance I'm always trying to find. Love that you set a hard cutoff instead of endless negotiating. Did he end up finding other stuff to do after 7pm or did bedtime become easier?
Screen Time has been a game changer for us too. The complaint phase is real but yeah, they adjust quick. Now we've actually got leverage to get them outside more instead of fighting over the tablet.
Wait until she's older and finds a workaround. My oldest tried to change the WiFi password to get around it. Just saying, enjoy this window while it lasts haha.
Nice, glad it's working. We had to get a bit creative because our 9 year old figured out she could ask for extra time and I'd cave. Now I just don't give her the option to ask. Problem solved.

Same here, been using Screen Time for about a month now. The bedtime cutoff has been huge for us. My kids actually complained for like three days then just accepted it. Now they're reading more before bed which is wild.
