Caught my son sneaking gaming time

Found him playing Fortnite on his Switch under the blanket at 11pm last night when he should've been asleep. He'd hidden it when I came in to check on him. We have a 30 min weeknight limit but he clearly wasn't respecting it. Now I'm wondering if I need to take it away completely or if there's a better approach. How do you guys enforce screen time limits?
