Coding classes are actually kind of awesome
Quick recommendation: we signed our 10yo up for a local coding class through the rec department (like $80 for 6 weeks) and it's legitimately the best screen time trade I've made. He learns coding, it's hands-on, there's a teacher actually supervising, and he's SO pumped to code little games. It's like gaming but he's creating instead of just consuming.
If your area has something similar it might be worth checking out. Way better ROI than random iPad time imo.
This is the move. Coding classes, robotics clubs, actual skill-building stuff is the screen time that actually matters. Way better than the guilt-parent approach of trying to keep them off screens entirely.
