FINALLY got my 12yo to pick up a basketball instead of his Switch

Been a months-long negotiation but we FINALLY got him genuinely interested in joining the local rec league. Started with limiting gaming to weekends only last fall, then made a deal that if he tried out for the team, he could pick his own screen time schedule (within reason). First game is Saturday and he's actually EXCITED. Not gonna lie, this feels like a major win. Shoutout to the dads in the neighborhood who made this happen - sometimes peer pressure in a good way actually works.
