Finally got my 9yo to understand why her TikTok addiction was out of control

Took her phone away for a week last month and we had a huge fight. But then we sat down and I actually explained how the algorithm works and why it's designed to keep her scrolling. Showed her some YouTube videos about it. Now she actually WANTS to limit her time because she understands she's being manipulated. She's even moderating herself without me asking. Best parenting win I've had in a while.
